The software that ticks like a time bomb<\/h1>

There are several reasons why developers may not be able to take a development forward. If a supplier goes out of business due to bankruptcy or sale. But it is also not uncommon for the external team to see that it is no longer worth their time, that they no longer want to be involved, and that there is a loss of interest.
\n<\/span>Another common reason is that the developer is overburdened or becomes bored with the task, expects a change in vain, leaves the company, and the knowledge is lost, leaving the application unmanaged.
\n<\/span>There are also examples where the development team is bought out and the question arises as to how to proceed. With the development team slowly disappearing, the development process is also stalled.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Many companies have applications with very old technology, e.g. Lotus Notes. Lotus Notes developers are becoming increasingly rare, the technology has outlived its usefulness, and there are few people with a deep understanding of the technology.
\n<\/span>Other programming languages are Cobol, RPG, FoxPro, Visual FoxPro and Delphi. Applications written in these languages still work, in many cases they serve the needs of users, but they cannot be deployed in new environments such as cloud infrastructures or integrated into newer enterprise platforms.\u00a0<\/span>
\n<\/span>It is also common that they cannot scale legacy systems, they work with 100 users, but with 500 users they slow down, and the customer experience gets worse significantly.\u00a0<\/span>
\n<\/span>No one improves the security holes in these legacy applications anymore<\/strong>, no one is sure if they are hackable, secure, or not leaking data, i.e. they are ticking like a time bomb<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
